Pietro Paravicini
|
President/CEO of Anoto Inc, joined the company in May 2001. His primary responsibilities
include among others the support of major US based accounts from pilots to commercial
launch and the establishment of an ecosystem of partners utilizing and promoting
Anoto functionality.
Prior to joining Anoto, Pietro Parravicini held financial and operational management
positions with companies such as Siemens Nixdorf and Alusuisse in Switzerland ,
responsible to business volumes of $100 M+.
He relocated to the US in 1997 and became VP and CFO of Wincor Nixdorf LLC, a leading
provider of Retail Point of Sales and Banking ATM Platforms. During his employment,
the company grew from $24M to $40M in sales and grew it's operations through a strategic
acquisition.
Overall, Pietro Parravicini has over 10 years of management experience, including
6 years as Member of the Board of the respected companies.

Erik Nilsson
|
Erik Nilsson is a seasoned marketing strategy expert who has spent a decade advising
large and small organizations on how to leverage the Internet to reach their communication
and revenue goals.
Erik's online work has received accolades from a wide range of media including:
The Wall Street Journal, The International Herald Tribune, Newsweek, The Washington
Post, Business Week, NPR, CNN and NBC.
His online product innovations are now essential parts of GE , US Risk, and Blue
Cross Blue Shield's internal and external service offerings.
Prior to forming eNilsson, Erik was a founding partner of CareScout, a venture capital
backed dot-com that achieved a 13% visitor to customer conversion rate. Erik cut
his marketing teeth at Hoffman La Roche and Bowne & Co.
Erik is a graduate of Middlebury College and studied at the University of Chicago
School of Business.

Shawn Marcell
|
Shawn has been an innovator in the biotechnology, technology and medical device
industries for the past two decades. Prior to joining the Science Center,
he took his most recent venture, Linguagen Corp. from start-up stage to a leading
biotechnology company. From 1994-2000 Shawn was founder and CEO of Prima Facie,
Inc. which he built to a leading company in the mobile security space. From
1990 - 1994 Shawn was head of marketing and business development at Centocor, Inc.
diagnostics division. There he built a worldwide sales network, launched several
new products and took the business to over $50 million. From 1983 - 1990 held
sales, marketing and management positions with Abbott Laboratories where he built
businesses to over $100 million.
Shawn recently joined the Science Center in Philadelphia where he serves as Senior
Vice President responsible for Science Center Ventures, a new early stage venture
capital fund. Science Center Ventures will focus on starting and building promising
new life science and technology companies drawing on the considerable capital, infrastructure
and intellectual resources of the Science Center community.
Since 1996, Shawn has served as a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton
School and from 2000 to 2002 he was an adjunct faculty member teaching venture initiation
and business plan creation. Shawn has twice been invited to the White House
to speak about legislation affecting small business. He currently serves on the
executive committee and as treasurer of Calcutta House in Philadelphia, which provides
hospice care for the most fragile people with HIV.
